Amalfi
Town in a dramatic natural setting below steep cliffs on Italy’s southwest coast, on the Tyrrhenian Sea, giving the name to the Amalfi Coast (Italian: Costiera Amalfitana), in the hearth of the Gulf of Salerno. Its dramatic cliffs and coastal sceneries make it an important tourist destination together with towns like Positano, Ravello and others. Further than its Cathedral, local cuisine and pizza, Amalfi is famed for its production of Limoncello liqueur derived from its lemon cultivations. Amalfi is included in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
